Who we are

LevelBow is a student-led community project that removes barriers in sport. We help people take part at their own level and compete on their own terms. We started with archery. That’s the “Bow” in LevelBow.

Our mission

To break down physical and social barriers in sport, empowering individuals of all abilities to compete, grow, and experience the joy of sport on a level playing field.

How LevelBow works

We don’t run our own range. We design low-poundage bows and adaptive rigs for visually impaired and physically impaired archers. We partner with established clubs, and they run Adaptive Archery Sessions with their own coaches and range.

We change the setup around the archer. We adjust the equipment so they can join in and get their best results.

Our first partner is The Archers of Caledon, where the sessions run today. To take part, see the Adaptive Archery site.

Three pillars

  • Inclusion

Athletes with physical limitations or disabilities can take part.

  • Adaptation

We build equipment around the person who uses it.

  • Empowerment

We change the story from “despite limitations” to “on your own terms.”

What we care about

  • Harmony

We make gear that works with the athlete’s body and matches what they can do.

  • Inclusion

Everyone should get a spot on the line. We go looking for what keeps people away, and we remove it.

  • Adaptive innovation

Standard gear doesn’t fit every need. So we keep working on new designs that fit the athlete.

  • Empowerment

The athlete decides what success looks like. We give them the tools and confidence to set their own goals and reach them.

  • Integrity

We build gear and relationships on trust and openness. We’re committed to our community’s safety and independence.
